Congrats to the Class of 2020!
You have put a lot of work in, and now you are having the opportunity to go out into the world. And unfortunately, it's during a time when the job market isn't doing very well. I graduated in 2009 from undergrad and the economy was not doing well then either. And it can be very stressful. And it can be especially stressful if you are somebody who is graduating with student loan debt. Not only are you on trying to get your career started, but you also need to start paying down this obligation that's allowed you to start the career you are going to begin to pursue. And so they can be a lot of emotion and stress around trying to figure out how to pay down your debt. Unfortunately, we have not done a good job as a society of teaching people how to go through and solve questions associated with paying down debt.
And student loans are not your typical kind of loan. Especially if you are in the federal student loan program or in a federal loan. So, if you have student loans you first want to make sure you understand what kind of loans you have because then it's going to help you understand what kind of strategies are available for you in order to pay down your debt. Now once you understand what kind of loans you have, and you are starting to understand what strategies are available, you need to be able to understand the cost
