Congrats to the Class of 2020!
Congrats to the Class of 2020!
You have put a lot of work in, and now you are having the opportunity to go out into the world. And unfortunately, it's during a time when the job market isn't doing very well. I graduated in 2009 from undergrad and the economy was not doing well then either. And it can be very stressful. And it can be especially stressful if you are somebody who is graduating with student loan debt. Not only are you on trying to get your career started, but you also need to start paying down this obligation that's allowed you to start the career you are going to begin to pursue. And so they can be a lot of emotion and stress around trying to figure out how to pay down your debt. Unfortunately, we have not done a good job as a society of teaching people how to go through and solve questions associated with paying down debt.
And student loans are not your typical kind of loan. Especially if you are in the federal student loan program or in a federal loan. So, if you have student loans you first want to make sure you understand what kind of loans you have because then it's going to help you understand what kind of strategies are available for you in order to pay down your debt. Now once you understand what kind of loans you have, and you are starting to understand what strategies are available, you need to be able to understand the costs and benefits of each of those strategies, and which of those strategies is best for who you are and what your objectives and goals are.
This is why at Pursuit Planning and Investments, I created a student loan package where we will sit down, and we will look at all of your options. And we'll get to understand what kind of loans you have, what strategies are available to you, and which are the strategies is financially optimal, which are the strategies is also optimal to your pursuit. We'll dive into looking at different income-based repayment plans, if that's appropriate for you, or public student loan forgiveness. Or if it's appropriate to consolidate or refinance. Each of these things we will go through and we will be able to understand which strategy is best for you.
If you would like to learn more about these packages feel free to go planyourpursuit.com, and underneath the Our Services tab you will be able to find more about the student loan package and what all is involved. And also, if you just want to get to know me more before even getting to that point, feel free to sign up for the Planner's Beta, it's my weekly digest, and you can be able to begin to understand who I am as person and what I find interesting out in the world. And hopefully you'll find some value in those articles and tidbits that I do share through the Planner's Beta. Again, congratulations on graduating!
I hope you have a safe and healthy rest of your week. Thanks!
