Don't get scammed and more in this week's digest

Enjoy this week's edition of the Planner's Beta

Beta (n) - climber's jargon that designates information about a climb This digest's purpose is to share observations, ideas, and treasures found this week which you may also find insightful. Sharing does not mean it's an endorsement. I am endorsing the pursuit of knowledge and exploration.

Something Fun

18 Badass Oregon Trails to Put on Your Bucket List (That Oregon Life) - Surprisingly, I have only been to 6 of these 18 hikes. When I chose to stay here and Oregon and not move to Indiana, I understood it would take a lifetime to experience all the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Becky and I have a lot of options for hiking once the stay at home orders pass.

Something Else About Financial Planning

Want to get your Coronavirus relief check? Scammers do too (FTC) - The Federal Trade Commission issued a warning last week stating taxpayers should remain vigilant against recovery rebate scams. No one should be calling you for information about where to deposit the check, or making claims that they are holding your check. The rebate will come directly from the government, and the government will be using information from your 2018 or 2019 tax returns to process the payments. To learn more about the rebate process and whether you may receive a check, visit Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC's, coronavirus resource page.
